General Description

CPI with 30+ years experience, is the premier Spanish immersion institute in Costa Rica offering three in-country campuses: Heredia, Monteverde Cloud Forest, and Flamingo Beach, as well as a customized on-line live format learning platform. We provide an amazing opportunity to divide studies between our 3 campuses ensuring you see more of this incredible country; homestay accommodations are available to permit true immersion in the language and culture. Year-round classes start each Monday, CPI combines quality language instruction with personalized service for all ages & skill levels; study individually, with family, in our specialized Spanish programs OR with a tailored group itinerary inclusive of cultural and tour activities available to primary, middle, high school, and university groups. Additional possibilities include earning university transfer credits through New Mexico State University and the option of professional seminars.

International Programs

CPI offers a variety of effective Spanish language programs, available according to specific interests, age & skill level:

Study Abroad Offices and University Professors: customized group courses for fall/spring breaks or summer designed to align with specific academic goals. Spanish classes are organized round 20-hour weekly blocks from Monday – Friday, with opportunities for cultural activities & volunteerships, along with week-ends for overnight excursions.
University students: register for the number of weeks you desire – either for credit OR just learn Spanish for fun!
Professionals: we can help you develop your Spanish skills for work; areas of concentration include: medical, social work, business, law, Spanish teacher training, and more!
